A Hymn for the Lost and the Living portrays those painful days following September 11, 2001 witnessed by the composer as he walked up Broadway in New York in the days which followed the attack. It is intended as a memorial and was composed originally for and commissioned by the US Air Force Heritage Band. This arrangement for trombone and piano was made by Chris Gekker. (2002, arr. 2004) |
